SF Foundry

Our own tool for Salesforce orgs: a health check where every number opens its records, clean-ups that read like sentences, backups, and a guided move into a new org.

What do you want to do?

Your two Salesforce orgs are connected. Org A is only ever read: clean-ups and edits happen in datasets kept in CloudForged. Org B is written only when you copy into it.

About This Piece

SF Foundry is the tool we built for our own Salesforce work, and turn on for the companies we work with. It does the jobs every org needs sooner or later, without a spreadsheet in sight.

  • Analyze: a health check of an org. Unused fields and reports, retired automation, who can see what, data quality. Every number opens the records behind it.
  • Datasets: the objects you choose, copied out of the org into a private workspace. Change values, leave records out, undo anything. The org itself never changes.
  • Clean up: duplicate rules that read like a sentence (“similar name in the same city”), groups side by side, pick the record to keep and any value from the others, merge.
  • Backup: daily copies of every record, file and setting, encrypted. Compare any object with the org as it is now and put deleted records or earlier values back.
  • Migrate: copy a dataset into a new org in four steps, a dry run first. A final update brings over what people changed in the old org since, with conflicts decided field by field.

The real one is a Node and React app at tools.cloudforged.io. Every company gets its own private workspace (its own database schema and role, its own encryption key), and orgs connect through the CloudForged Connector, a managed package with no keys to paste. This demo runs in your browser with two sample orgs of a made-up outdoor-gear company; nothing in it talks to Salesforce.
